Thumb Sucker!!

That's right. This little girl has found her thumb! She needs something to suck on while she's first going to sleep. I have her in her own bed now (she does great and both of us are sleeping much better)!! LOVE IT! Now I'm working on getting her to soothe herself to sleep without me rocking her. I lay her down in her crib when she starts getting sleepy, I turn on some music and her mobile and she will slowly drift off to sleep... as long as she has something in her mouth. She will suck on a binkey just fine but as soon as she stops sucking the binky it falls right out of her mouth and it's not there when she wants it again. So she has resorted to sucking her thumb. It is so cute right now. If it continues we may have to intervine.

At least for now she only sucks on her thumb when her binkey falls out and I don't rush into her bedroom to stick it back in. So the thumb is just a substitute for the binkey right now. Lets hope it stays that way. I don't want her to be going to kindergarden with her thumb in her mouth!
